Hanö April 2015
As a birthday present for my dad I booked a weekend on Hanö, an island in Hanö-bay east of Scania. The goal was to get as much time photographing as possible.
This was the first time I visited Hanö and in only three days the island has grown to be on of my favorite places in Sweden. Isolated from the mainland, with three ferries a day, and with only about 35 residents the island is such a typical Swedish idyll. It's beautiful!
Aside from the idyllic village, Hanö offers a astounding fauna. The pastures are held open by a whopping population of Fallow deers, about 250 animals on about 2.2 square-kilometers. During our visit, there were a lot of passerines in the shrubs; mostly willow wablers, Chiffchaffs, Wheathears, Redstarts and Tree pipits but also some rarer ones, like Ringouzels, Lapland bunting and Black redstart. There's big colony with Herring and Common gull, along with a small population of Razorbills as well.
Almost every picture are taken with the manual Tamron 400mm f/4.
