Crete 9th - 23th of July 2015

During the summer of 2015 I visited Crete, Greece together with my girlfriend's family. From a birders and photographers perspective, Crete is relatively quite during the summer, even if there is some interesting birds hanging around. I mostly did my birding in the cultivated area near Rethimno which limited me to few species, but it wasn't bad at all. In addition to the birding, I did a lot of butterfly-watching. And there were a lot of them, so that was fun. It wasn't very easy to photograph where I were, since most birds were very shy. Here's a short portfolio with the best pictures!
